DC Power Supply
- 24-75VDC is required for ClearPath bus power. Teknic typically recommends 75VDC for maximum motor power.
- ClearPath can run from supplies up to 90VDC, but will protectively shutdown at 94VDC, so a 75VDC supply gives you a little more design margin.
- The Teknic IPC-3 and IPC-5 power supplies are designed specifically for the unique requirements of servo control- they smoothly handle regenerated energy and large peak loads.
- One IPC power supply can typically power 2-6 ClearPath motors (application dependent - see FAQs and/or Accessories video).

DC Power Cable
- This cable connects the DC power supply (or power hub) to the ClearPath motor.
- The DC Power cable requires a 4-pin molex connector on the ClearPath end and a 2-pin Sabre connector on the DC power end (if using Teknic IPC or power hub).
- The cable can be purchased from Teknic or can be easily made with the proper materials and crimp tools.

Controller Cable
- This cable connects your control signals to the ClearPath motor.
- The controller cable requires an 8-pin Molex Mini-fit connector on the ClearPath end.
- The cable can be purchased from Teknic or can be easily made with the proper materials and crimp tools.

AC Power Cable
- This cable connects AC Power (120VAC) to the Teknic IPC-3 and IPC-5 power supplies.

ClearPath MSP Software
- This "Motor Setup Program" software is used for initial ClearPath setup and diagnostics.
- After initial setup, the motor is disconnected during application operation (but you can also use MSP for diagnostics and troubleshooting during application operation).
- You can download MSP from Teknic for free.

USB Setup Cable
- The USB cable connects the ClearPath motor to a Windows PC for initial setup using the ClearPath MSP (Motor Setup Program) software.
- After initial setup, the cable is disconnected for application operation (but can also be used for diagnostic purposes).
- The connectors are USB A to micro-B.
- This cable can be purchased from Teknic or third parties. If you use a third-party cable, make sure to use a “fully rated” cable (shielded and designed for high-speed data communication).

DC Power Cable
Connects your power supply (or your Power Hub power distribution board) to your ClearPath motor. A 4-pin Molex Mini-fit connector is required on the ClearPath end, and a 2-pin Sabre connector on the other end if you’re using the Power Hub or a Teknic IPC power supply. You can easily make this cable if you have the proper materials and crimp tools, or you can buy one from Teknic.
4-axis Power Hub
- This 4-axis power hub distributes DC bus power to 1-4 ClearPath motors.
- The hub requires 24VDC (in addition to motor bus power).
- The power hub also provides logic power backup. If bus power is removed (e.g., upon an E-stop), ClearPath will still communicate and monitor its position. So, upon restoring bus power, ClearPath can automatically return to its correct commanded position.

DC Power Cable
- This cable connects the bus power supply to the 4-axis power hub.
- A 2-pin Sabre connector is required on both ends (if using either of the Teknic IPC power supplies).
- The cable can be purchased from Teknic or can be easily made with the proper materials and crimp tools.

24V DC Power Cable
- This cable connects a user-supplied 24 VDC power supply to Teknic Power Hub.
- A 2-pin Molex Mini-fit connector is required on the power hub end.
- The cable can be purchased from Teknic or can be easily made with the proper materials and crimp tools.

Power Hub and Logic Backup Power
- A 24 VDC power supply required for Power Hub power distribution board.
- The Power Hub also provides logic backup power. When used with the power hub, the motors retain encoder position and communication ability when DC bus power is removed (e.g. during E-stop). This avoids the need to re-home.
- See the video or the ClearPath user manual appendix for how to properly size your 24 volt logic power supply.
Using Analog Control Signals?
- ClearPath-MC can be controlled with 0-10V or 4-20 mA analog signals by using ASU-FR510 Analog Send Unit (A/D converter).
